Research firm IDC said on Friday that shipments of the smartphone market in India rose 17 percent to 5.43 crore units in the September quarter.
IDC said in its report that although India’s smartphone market is expected to decline slightly year after year after achieving annual growth for several years.

17 percent rise on an annual basisIDC said, “Only India achieved growth in the top three smartphone markets, while both China and the US saw a decline during the July-September 2020 quarter.” During this period, 5.43 crore handsets came in, which shows an increase of 17 percent on an annual basis.
Xiaomi has the highest market share
According to IDC, the top 5 companies selling the most smartphones in India are Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Realme and Oppo. The report said that it increased due to festive demand. In the September quarter, Xiaomi accounted for the most 25 percent consignment, followed by Samsung, Vivo, Realme and Oppo.
