new Delhi. Sales of premium products of Samsung, a maker of everyday consumer products, increased by 50 percent in October. At the same time, the company has recorded a record 68 percent increase in small towns and 32 percent in total sales. Samsung India Senior Vice President (Consumer Electronics Business) Raju Pullan said in a statement, ‘This has proved to be the most spectacular October for us so far. Demand for premium electronic products has increased in consumers of every category, especially in second and third tier cities.

According to the statement, Samsung’s consumer electronics business grew by 32 percent in October. In the TV category, the company has registered a growth of 32 percent. It also includes an 80 percent increase in the 65-inch and above range.

Pullan said, ‘The goal is to achieve 30 percent increase in total sales during the entire festive season. The company has been able to achieve 32 percent growth in the first phase of festive sales i.e. October. Along with TV, the company has also recorded growth in the refrigerator category. In the refrigerator category, the company’s total sales have increased by 31 percent. There was also a 40 percent increase in refrigerators of more than 350 liters capacity.

According to IDC, the top 5 companies selling the most smartphones in India are Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Realme and Oppo. The report said that it increased due to festive demand. In the September quarter, Xiaomi accounted for the most 25 percent consignment, followed by Samsung, Vivo, Realme and Oppo.
