Own report: Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. Today, thousands of protesters demonstrated against Imran in Peshawar on Sunday.

He was all-rounder in cricket. He was respected by the players of the opposing team. But apart from the first episode of his political life, Imran’s pitch has always been difficult. As of now it is becoming more and more bouncy.

Opposition groups called for a boycott of the assembly. Imran Khan came to power in the 2016 elections because of their allegations, vote rigging and support for the army. Thousands of protesters marched in Peshawar today. The protests took place despite a government ban on coronary infections.

Imran, however, said that the protest was to force the opposition leaders to withdraw the corruption case filed against them. He also denied any interference by the Pak army in Pakistani politics. He claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N party and former President Asif Ali Zardari’s party were upset with the corruption and the general public voted for him.

The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has been staging protests in the country since October 16. Most of the protests took place in Pakistan’s Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan provinces. Today, the PDM held its first rally in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

PDM wants to establish democracy in Pakistan. The movement has taken on a new dimension with the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to politics.
